What is OpenWorker?
OpenWorker is a free, open-source Mac app that turns an AI model into a coworker that actually finishes things. Instead of giving you an answer in a chat box, it carries the task across the tools you already use — Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Notion, HubSpot, GitHub, Jira, Linear, Asana, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box — and comes back with a finished deliverable: a written brief, a sent message, a calendar event, a generated report.
It's not a chatbot wrapper. It plans a multi-step workflow, executes it across the apps you connect, and checks in with you before any external action (sending a Slack message, posting a comment, moving a meeting). You stay in charge of the moments that matter.

- Bring your own model. Use OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi, Z.AI's GLM, open-weight providers, or Ollama running fully local. Switch models per task.

How is it different from a chatbot or a Zapier-style automation?
A chatbot answers a question. A Zapier automation runs a fixed recipe. OpenWorker sits in between: it understands an open-ended request, picks the right tools, executes the steps, and returns a finished piece of work. It can also be triggered by events (an alert, an email, a schedule) the way an automation is — but the steps it takes are reasoned, not hard-coded.
Pricing
Free. The app is open source. You pay only for the model API you choose to use, if any — running Ollama locally costs nothing extra.
