IPTV-ORG

IPTV-ORG is a free, public-domain collection of 12,854 live TV channel playlists from 250 countries, maintained on GitHub since 2018. It is one of the most-starred repositories on the platform, with over 136,000 stars.

It is not an app you install. It is a set of M3U playlist files you paste into any video player that supports live streaming, such as VLC, Kodi, Jellyfin, Plex, or TiviMate. The main playlist lives at https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/index.m3u and contains every channel. There are also playlists filtered by country, language, and category, plus an electronic program guide (EPG) and a public API.

The playlists are regenerated automatically on a schedule, so dead links get pruned and new channels get added. The channel data lives in a separate iptv-org/database repository, and the project is funded through Open Collective.

Note: the repository stores no video files, only links to streams the maintainers believe were made public by the copyright holders. The legal status of some channels is a gray area, and streams can drop or buffer since they point to third-party servers.
