Craft Anything
A free, open-source Rust engine that studies any website, app or game with 314 inspection tools, then has a coding agent build and check your own version.
What It Is
Craft Anything is a free, open-source desktop app from the ArtCraft team. Point it at a website, a desktop program, a phone app, a game, a firmware image, a packet capture, a database or a game file, and it works out how that target is built and what it does. Then it hands those findings to a coding agent and asks for your own version of it.
Why It Matters
The agents people normally use for this kind of work now turn some of it down. Craft Anything separates the two halves of the job. The inspection is 314 tools written in Rust and run on your own machine, each one callable from the app, as a CLI command, or over an MCP server. The build is whatever agent you already have signed in. The engine is doing the reading, so a vendor policy change does not take the reading away.
The Four Steps
- Study: the inspection tools record what they find, with the evidence attached to each finding and its coverage stated.
- Build: the agent writes a new project in the language, framework or engine your request names.
- Check: the rebuild is compared with the original, websites at three screen widths and games through their own self-test.
- Ready: open or play the result, then ask for changes and it refines.
Modes
Clean Room is the default. It reads only what a visitor or user could see: screenshots, visible text, measured layout, fonts, colours, spacing, and menus you opened. Anything that would look inside is refused and says so. Deep mode reads code, files and page source, uses Ghidra when it is installed, and lets the builder use all of it.
What It Needs
A coding agent on the same machine. Claude Code is supported first and runs your own unmodified copy on your own sign-in. A Codex adapter is written but unverified. Gemini CLI, Qwen Code, opencode, goose, Hermes and Maki can be switched in per backend, and of those only Maki has been run live. There are installers for Windows, macOS, Linux and FreeBSD, plus a WebAssembly viewer.
Licence and Maturity
MIT or Apache-2.0, at your option. The ArtCraft name, wordmark and logos are trademarks and are not covered by that licence. Current release is 0.3.0, published 2 November 2026, and the project describes itself as early alpha: app and game behaviour checks are partial, and a managed tier is listed as next.
